Marti Farro joined Coastal Vibe in August, 2023 as their lead vocalist. Born and raised in Hudson and Bergen Counties, New Jersey, Marti began her career at an early age.
Marti has been singing for as long as she could remember, imitating powerhouse singers such as Judy Garland and Julie Andrews in the basement of her childhood home. It wasn’t until age 10 that someone actually told her that she could sing, and the performances began!
But at age 11, her older sister took her to see Ann Wilson of Heart. “She gave me goosebumps. No one ever gave me goosebumps before. That’s when I knew I wanted to sing like HER. I wanted to give people goosebumps.”
Marti continued to sing for the local church, charitable organizations and grammar school events, singing powerful Broadway show tunes until age 13, when Pat Benatar released her debut album “In The Heat of the Night.” Finally, Marti’s future became clear to her: she wanted to sing in a rock band. Marti never looked back.
Marti also began to write original music with the extremely popular New Jersey original rock band, Dayzanu. She then spent three years in Nashville honing her craft, releasing her solo debut album, “Country First” and touring Iceland and parts of Europe, including a radio tour of the southeast United States promoting her album.
Now living in Ocean County, New Jersey, Marti brings her eclectic wardrobe and non-stop energy to the stage with Toms River based Coastal Vibe. Her vocal range, dance moves and dynamic stage presence is sure to keep you entertained and dancing for the whole night!
Marti also has her own Marti Farro Fan Club on Facebook!!
Joe is an experienced musician and goof ball, Joe started his journey at the age of 8, listening to Elvis Presley and Duane Eddy, so he picked the guitar because twang was the thang, so he started playing at age 13, took some lessons but mostly trial and error, mostly error lololololol, and playing on and off for the last 60 years, mostly off, he gets sidetracked easily, lololol. Joe's major influences are Hendrix, Blackmore, Rory Gallagher and Santana. Joe loves rock and roll, hard and heavy rock, blues, motown, oldies and hard edged country, Joe's successful bands were Eternal Light, Amberjack, Seneca, Teaser, Jukebox Memories, Noisy Neighbors, and Wild Child which was an Alice Cooper tribute band. Joe is happy to add Coastal Vibe to the list.
Originally from Bon Jovi’s town of Sayreville, NJ, born and raised before residing down at the Jersey Shore area Sherri has been playing drums for over 50 years and will continue to play until she can’t hold her sticks anymore. Sherri started creating her own beats on her mothers pots and pans at the age 12. At 13 years old, her father bought her first pink, champaign drum set. Sherri and her brother Eddie, who played cordovox accordion started their own group called “Just Us”. After her parents realized how talented they were, they decided to enter them in a talent expo at the Garden State Arts Center in 1969. A few months later they were called to perform in front of thousands of people with over 60 different acts. Five were instrumental which they competed against and came in 1st place with Julius La Rosa as M.C. handing Sherri and her brother Eddie a trophy bigger than Sherri and two dozen roses as her proud dad jumps onto the stage to pick her up to hug & kiss her. This was the start of her wanting to show her talent as a musician and something that she loves to do, entering in school talent shows and teaching young students how to play the drums.
As she got older, she joined several bands. Her first band was called “Lady Luck” which she played for about 5 years at Manny’s in Perth Amboy every summer. After Lady Luck she joined an all girl band called “20th Century Fox” disco band, playing in Asbury Park for a couple of years. Then the “All Nighters Band” for 8-9 years doing private parties, weddings, car shows, wall stadium, and blue claws stadium. After the All Nighters band she joined the “Shoresyde Band” playing with them for 9 years. They played at Laurita Winery in New Egypt, county fairs, Veterans Park, fund raiser events and her job at DPT Labs in Lakewood, NJ. Now she is keeping the beat for the jersey shore band “Coastal Vibe”

A New Jersey native, Joe has been playing bass since he was a teenager. Firmly rooted in The Blues, his first band featured a harmonica player as its lead instrument. Next, he was in several original rock bands and played with The Streets at The Stone Pony and CB-GBs back in the day.
After that, he set the groove for the original punk-rock band Dirty Johnny, which is where he first found out that "going down" can really set the mood of the song, and he started playing a 5-string bass exclusively. This foray into all things punk allowed him yet another opportunity to play at the now "legendary" Stone Pony. Here is where he got the nickname "Joe Fish". His next move was into Piece Of Candi, a 6-piece rock/pop cover band, where he set the groove every Friday and every Saturday night for several years. Realizing that "less is more," he spent the next couple of decades setting the groove in "Simple Groove", which then morphed into "Gypsy, A True Stevie Nicks Experience", where he finally got to Headline at the Stony Pony on a Saturday night! Joe decided to leave the fancy clothes behind and go back to his roots in Rock and Blues, laying down the low end for "Coastal Vibe".
Musical influences: Jack Bruce, John Entwistle, John Paul Jones, Donald "Duck" Dunn, James Jamerson
Favorite Albums of All-Time : Best of Cream, Aja (Steely Dan), Fragile (Yes), Brothers In Arms (Dire Straits), Jagged Little Pill (Alanis Morissette), Human Clay (Creed)
Joe uses Elixir Medium/Long Scale strings on his purple Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 5-string Bass. He tunes with a TC Electronic Unitune. He plays through a TC Electronic BG250-210 Amp with a Compressor patch, and sings backups thru a TC Helicon Voicelive Play. Sounds like the folks at TC should throw him a sponsorship! :-)
